Getting Out Again

We helped Jen get a wheelchair that gave her back time with her family

Getting Out Again

Jen worked as a Speech and Language Therapist, supporting people with brain injuries. During the pandemic, she contracted COVID-19 while working under Plan B restrictions.

She developed long COVID and myalgic encephalomyelitis. Her health meant she could no longer continue in her role, and she was dismissed on ill health grounds.

Support when it mattered

Jen needed a Magic 360 power wheelchair to help her get around. We provided funding to help make it happen.

The wheelchair made a real difference. Jen was able to go on a family holiday and spend quality time with the people she loves.

“It brought much needed joy to my life and helped me make memories with my family,” she said.

Sometimes the right support at the right time changes everything.
