Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Frenkel Topping Charitable Foundation do?

We provide financial assistance to individuals and families facing hardship due to serious injury, illness, or other challenging circumstances. We also support community projects that improve well being and quality of life.

Who can apply for funding?

Individuals or families in financial need can apply directly, or a professional (such as a case manager, social worker, charity worker, or solicitor) can apply on their behalf. Applications must show clear evidence of need and how the funding will make a difference.

What kind of things can the Foundation fund?

We consider requests for essential items or services that improve daily living or well being, such as:

  • Mobility aids or specialist equipment
  • Therapies or rehabilitation

Are there things the Foundation can’t fund?

Yes we would not fund for the following:

  • Household goods or furnishings
  • House adaptations
  • Fees relating to services provided by professionals or trainers or those responsible for running sessions or therapies
  • Aids or equipment that are not required as a medical need

How do I apply for funding?

You can complete our application form online on our website. Please answer all questions and include supporting evidence, such as quotes or letters of support.

Do I need to provide proof of costs or quotes?

Yes, by providing quotes or invoices helps us assess your application quickly and ensure funding is used appropriately.

How long does it take to hear back?

We aim to respond to applications within 2–4 weeks of receiving all necessary information. Complex cases may take longer if we need further details.

How much can I apply for?

There is no fixed amount, but most individual grants are for essential needs and kept within a reasonable range to help as many people as possible.

Can I apply more than once?

Yes — but repeat applications are only considered if circumstances have changed or there is a new, clearly defined need. If applying for a wheelchair, we will only accept a repeat application after 3 years.

Do you offer funding to organisations as well as individuals?

Yes — we support community projects, charities, and not-for-profit groups that align with our values of improving well being, inclusion, and quality of life.

How is my information handled?

All personal information is handled in line with our Privacy Notice and data protection regulations. We only share information where necessary to assess or administer your application.

How can I contact the Foundation?

You can contact us by email at enquiries@frenkeltopping.co.uk, or through the Contact Us form on our website.
